Admissions
Thank you for your interest in St. Thomas More School. We hope that you will consider Saint Thomas More School as an opportunity for your family in light of all the benefits we have to offer as a Catholic school.
Forming and educating our children is one of the most important responsibilities a family must consider and an essential dimension of the Church’s mission. Other schools, particularly those in the South Hills, provide excellent educational opportunities. However, Catholic faith formation of our young people is something other schools cannot provide.
Today our young people need a faith formation that instills Gospel values, morality, and respect for others that Jesus Christ preached. With so many messages, many contrary to the Gospel, families and young people find themselves confused and overwhelmed.
Saint Thomas More School is a community in which education centers itself on faith. Each child is given the opportunity to learn about themselves and the God-given gifts they have received. Our educators recognize students as unique, free, self-directed individuals who are children of God. We believe you will be impressed with what our parish has to offer for your children.
We believe you will find our academic program to be commensurate in excellence with our faith formation program. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school. In the meantime, prayerful best wishes to you and your family.

The Primary Nature of the School
St. Thomas More School is a Catholic Christian school that strives to make each
child’s educational experience both meaningful and productive in a compassionate
and value-based setting. At St. Thomas More School, we accomplish this goal by
utilizing a rigorous academic curriculum delivered in a nurturing setting of discipline
and respect. St. Thomas More School has successfully educated students for 49
years. Our history is one of challenging students to be their best through personal
understanding and insight.
Achievements
St. Thomas More School achieved its goal of building and moving into a new building in 2007. The building includes state of the art technology, air-conditioning and top of the line classroom amenities. Student population, activities and events have increased since moving into the new school building. In addition, the school instituted an electronic debit tuition collection system in the fall of 2005. The system streamlined tuition collection, nearly eliminated debt issues and stabilized tuition cash flow from the school to the parish.
Project Evaluation
St, Thomas More School received its recertification from the Middle States Association in April 2010, after completing a self-study and developing a strategic plan for the next three years. The self-study Designing our Future, covered all areas relating to the school from transportaion to curriculum. Professional staff, school families and parish representatives were involved in this important work, which culminated in a visit from a Middle State Commission team of peer evaluators in October of 2009. The impact of this study is a clearly defined image for the school and a well thought out plan for growth and development for our future in addition to reaccreditation status.
