Dear STM Families and Friends,

Happy New Year! Starting back to school with a surprise 2 hour delay was certainly an exciting way to begin. Congratulations to all of you for being prepared and knowledgeable about our delay procedures.  Being on top of things during these sorts of events makes life easier for everyone.  Just to be on the safe side, we will continue to publish the STM delay procedures in our weekly Tiger Tales.  It will be spring before we know it and snow and ice will be a vague memory so hang in there.  I do wonder what schools in Florida do for excitement during the winter months!?!?!
Catholic Schools Week is just around the corner. We will have our annual kick off mass on January 28th at 5:00 PM.  The choir from Seton LaSalle High School will be visiting STM for mass and joining their voices with our school choir. A school Open House will follow mass so that you can meet staff see an art display and wander through the Book Fair.  The remainder of the week is full of fun and educational activities. I have included an agenda of events as an attachment to Tiger Tales.  Also, STM families will begin registration during the week of January 16, 2012 for the 2012-2013 school year.  Very soon, we will be providing you with information and good news about the 2012-2013 school year along with tuition information for your family.
The Endure Fund, under the direction of our grade 8 basketball teams, will sponsor a Pink Dress Down day on January 20th. You may recall that the Endure Fund was set up in memory of Mrs. Donna Weiss and assists parish families who have a family member experiencing a catastrophic illness.  The children are rightfully very proud of the work that was done to set up this fund. Along the way, many people have been generous and supportive.  We are hoping that you will support this dress down day with a donation to the Endure Fund.
Some reminders:

Blessings for a wonderful 2012 to each of you.
